Objectives

The construction of the racing team was based on the experiences, concept and know-how of the two previous designs. This years’ aim was to develop a reliable and optimized race car. Priority was on finishing manufacturing early with a successful vehicle to have enough time for testing.

Body

• established concept of a tube frame
• create a plain seating to get a lower center of gravity
• Optimize maintenance via modular construction

• storage of all the electronics in a compact module

Suspension

• Improved chassis and more accurate steering for optimized handling
• evaluation of tire data for interpretation of kinematics
• chassis simulation software

Powertrain

• reliable 4-Cylinder Yamaha YZF R6 Motor with 600 cm3
• lower position of motor via plain oil pan
• Electric-powered pneumatic circuit
• wireless transmission of motor data

Electronics

• control module for Sensor, gearing and steering wheel in-house development
• interconnection of control modules via CAN-Bus (able to diagnose)
• survey of telemetry data
• data of vehicle saved and transmitted real-time via WLAN
• communication with vehicle  - box via WLA
